Work time tolerance and rounding
In Proplanum you can fine-tune how work time is recorded at a chosen location — how the system rounds shift start and end times and what lateness tolerance it applies. That way small deviations from the plan neither understate nor overstate the work time being settled. These settings are configured by the Organisation Administrator, the Advisor and the Location Manager.
Opening the work time tracking settings
Tolerance and rounding are in the location settings, on the "Work time tracking" tab.
- Sign in to Proplanum through a browser and go to the "Locations" tab.
- Click the name of the location you want to edit to open its settings.

- From the list of tabs on the left choose "Work time tracking".

Setting rounding and tolerance
On the "Work time tracking" tab find the rounding and lateness tolerance settings. They determine how the system treats actual clock-in and clock-out times against the planned shift.

- "Start time rounding" — automatically rounds the recorded start of work to the nearest whole unit (for example 5, 10 or 15 minutes).
Example: With start rounding set to 10 minutes and a shift planned for 8:00 — if the employee starts at 8:04, the system records the time from 8:00. If they start at 8:07, the system records the time from 8:10.
- "Lateness tolerance" — sets the maximum lateness the system still treats as a start in line with the plan.
Example: With a tolerance of 5 minutes and a shift planned for 8:00 — an employee who starts work at 8:04 falls within the tolerance and is settled from 8:00. An employee who starts at 8:07 exceeds the tolerance and is settled as late.
- "End time rounding" — automatically rounds the recorded end of work to the nearest whole unit (for example 5, 10 or 15 minutes).
Example: With end rounding set to 10 minutes and a shift ending at 15:00 — if the employee finishes at 15:04, the system records the time up to 15:00. If they finish at 14:56, it also records the time up to 15:00.
After changing the settings remember to save the location. The obligation to use time tracking and PIN/QR are set separately for each employee — see [Configuring an employee's schedule, time tracking and group settings](Konfigurowanie ustawień grafiku, RCP i grupy pracownika).
