Starting and finishing a shift
Time tracking (RCP) confirms when you actually start and finish a shift. You start and stop a shift in the mobile app or at a KIOSK terminal (with a fingerprint, a card, a QR code or a PIN) — you do not start or stop the clock in a browser, but you can view your recorded entries there. Below you will find all the methods available.
The ways of tracking working time
You can track working time in two ways:
- The mobile app — starting and stopping straight from your phone
- A KIOSK terminal — with a PIN, a QR code, a contactless card or a fingerprint
Tracking in the mobile app
- Open the Proplanum app and log in to your account.
- You will find the time tracking panel at the top of the "Dashboard" tab — it is visible as soon as you log in.

- When you start your shift, tap "Start shift". The clock will start counting your working time and the tile will show the progress of the shift.
- To finish the shift, pick "Stop the clock". You will see a summary: the hours, the breaks and the total time worked — confirm it with the "Finish shift" button.

If your employer allows it, you can also record an unplanned shift — an extra message appears when you start work.

Your supervisor may plan breaks (paid or unpaid) into your schedule — they will be taken into account when your working time is calculated. More in Breaks at work.
Your QR code
The QR code is an individual identifier assigned to your account — you use it to clock in at a KIOSK terminal.
- In a browser: click the avatar in the bottom left corner and pick "My QR code". The code will be downloaded — you can print it if you need to.
- In the mobile app: open the menu and go to your QR code, which you can save on your phone.

Clocking in at the KIOSK with a QR code
If your company has set up KIOSK time tracking, you can use the QR code to start and finish a shift.
- Go up to the terminal and scan your QR code (from your phone or printed out).
- The options available will appear on the screen — pick whether you want to start or finish the shift.
Clocking in at the KIOSK with a PIN
Instead of a QR code you can confirm your identity at the terminal with a 5-digit PIN. If the location has readers connected, a contactless card and a fingerprint will work too — they are described in Identification methods in KIOSK.
- Go up to the terminal and enter your PIN (or scan the QR code instead).

- The options available will appear on the screen — pick whether you want to start or finish the shift.

Check your recorded entries
You view your recorded working time in a browser, in the "Records" tab (the left icon bar). You will see your entries there with the date, position, actual and planned time, location and status (for example "Approved") along with the person who approved it.

That way you can check at any time that your shifts have been recorded and approved correctly.
