Identification methods in KIOSK
Before KIOSK shows a shift and lets anyone clock in, it needs to know who is standing in front of the device. There are four methods — two that need hardware and two that work on any device. Employees pick whichever suits them; all four lead to the same screen.
Fingerprint
The fastest method, because the employee needs to carry nothing.
- Tap the "Fingerprint" tile.
- Place a finger on the reader.

If the read comes back poor, KIOSK does not refuse — it shows a short instruction and asks for another try.

Contactless card
- Tap the "Card" tile.
- Hold the card against the reader.

A card that is not assigned to anyone, or one deactivated when a newer card was issued, will not work — KIOSK shows a message and returns to the idle screen.

QR code
The QR code is the employee's personal identifier. It lives in the mobile app under "My profile" → "Show code", and it can be printed.

PIN
A five-digit code from the employee profile. It needs no hardware at all, which makes it the fallback when a reader refuses to cooperate.

When a reader drops out
If a reader disconnects while KIOSK is waiting for a read, it says so plainly and suggests the QR code or PIN instead. The method stays in the menu — only the hardware is missing.

Once recognised, the employee lands on the action screen described in Tracking work time in KIOSK.
