Assigning requests to an employee

You create request types once for the whole organisation, but which of them a given employee can submit is set individually on their profile. That way everyone gets annual leave, for example, while only selected people get business trips. Here we show how to assign requests to an employee and set their individual pool of days.

Important: Requests are assigned by the Organisation Administrator, the Advisor and the Location Manager. New request types are created only by the Administrator — see [Request type settings](Request type settings).

Assigning requests to an employee

  1. Go to Team and open the employee's profile.
  2. In the menu on the left go to the "Requests" tab.
  3. Tick the request types the employee is to have available.

The "Requests" tab in an employee profile

  1. Click "Save" in the top right corner.

An individual pool of days

The "Annual pool" column says how many days of a given request the employee is entitled to per year. By default the pool comes from the request definition ("From the request definition" ticked). To set your own limit for the employee — for example leave carried over from the previous year — untick "From the request definition" and enter a value in "Annual pool". The "Current pool" column shows how many days are left to use.

Remember: Requests for taking time off in lieu of overtime have no manual limit — the number of days is calculated automatically from the time worked. More about limits: [Request limits](Request limits).
