Request limits
A request limit is the number of days of a given absence type an employee can use during the year. Thanks to limits the system keeps track of the pool itself — it will not allow a request beyond the available days and shows on an ongoing basis how many are left. Limits work at two levels: global (the whole organisation) and individual (a single employee).
Limited and unlimited requests
- Limited — they have a set pool of days (for example annual leave — 26 days). Once it is used up you cannot submit another request of that type.
- Unlimited — with no upper bound (for example sick leave, a business trip).
The global limit — the whole organisation
The pool for each request type is set by the Organisation Administrator when creating it, under Company settings → "Requests". The "Limited" and "Annual pool" columns show which requests have a limit and how many days it covers.

The individual limit — an employee
You can override the global pool for a particular person — for example when an employee has leave carried over from the previous year. You set it on the employee profile, on the "Requests" tab.
