An employee forgot to clock in — can I do it for them?
Yes. If an employee forgot to start or end their time tracking, you can complete it for them from the records as a manager. You have two routes: start the shift on their behalf, or correct an existing entry. Both options are below.
Option 1 — start the shift on the employee's behalf
If the employee has not started the shift at all, start their work time for them.
- Go to "RCP System" → "Records".
- In the top right corner click "Start shift".
- Choose the "Location" and the "Employee". The "PIN" field is optional.

- Set the shift start time and save.
- If the employee has a shift planned in the schedule — that is the one you will start. If there is no shift in the plan and the location settings allow it, a second step appears: choose a position for the unassigned shift and save.
- An entry with the "In progress" status will appear in the records list.
Option 2 — correct an existing entry
If the shift was in the schedule but the employee did not start it, an entry with the "Absence" status will appear in the records. You can complete it in two ways:
- edit the entry — open the menu in the row (the icon on the right) and choose "Edit",
- align to planned — tick the entry with the checkbox on the left and click "Align to planned" in the top bar. The system will set the time to match the schedule.
Entries can be corrected and aligned by the Manager, the Location Manager, the Advisor and the Organisation Administrator (editing an entry is done by the Manager, the Location Manager and the Organisation Administrator). More in Correcting and approving work time.
