Who can add sick leave (L4) requests in the Proplanum application?

Sick leave, known as L4, is a document confirming incapacity to work due to illness or sudden injury. At Proplanum, employee absence requests, including L4, are created individually for the company's needs.

Creating L4 Requests

Important: Only Organization Administrators can create a type of request, such as sick leave, within the organization. They can do this using a web browser in a few simple steps

After logging into Proplanum, from the main dashboard, go to the "Company Settings" tab in the upper right corner, and then "Requests".

From the list on the left side, select "Requests".

To add a new request, select "Add Request".

Choose the type of request from the available options: Leave, Delegation, Other.

Tip: To create a sick leave request, choose the type "Other".

Set the remaining details of the request, including:
the name of the request and its abbreviation, e.g., Sick Leave - L4
type - Paid or Unpaid.
the option "Allow employee to add a note". It is worth selecting this option so that the employee can describe their situation.
the option "Allow employee to add an attachment". It is worth selecting this option so that the employee can add, for example, a paper form of the sick leave.
the option "Leave requires approval".

Important: Do not select this option, as sick leaves are imposed from above and you cannot reject such requests.

the option "Limited". Do not select this option, as employees do not have limits when it comes to sick leave days.

After filling in all the data, click "Save", and the new request will be added to the company.

To learn more about creating and types of requests, go to "Request Type Settings"

Important: Remember that the types of requests created must be assigned individually to the employee. How to do this can be found here

Submitting a leave request through a web browser

All users except the Advisor have permissions to add L4 requests.

Open a web browser and log in to your Proplanum account.
Go to the "Requests" tab:
In the upper right corner, click the "Add request" option.
In the new window, select the desired date range for your leave in the calendar.
Go to the detailed request settings by selecting the appropriate options:

"For the whole day" - you are submitting a request covering the entire day - select this option if you are submitting a request for a single day
"Skip weekends" - weekends will not be considered in the request period
"Skip holidays" - holidays will not be included in the requested period

Select the recipient of the request - specify who should receive your leave request. By default, your main supervisor will be selected.

After filling in all the required fields, click the "Next" button.
In the new window, specify what type of request you want to submit - in this case, select sick leave. For each type of request, the limit of used and available days is visible.

Click "Save".
The submitted request will be visible along with its status on the list.

Important: You will be notified of the status change of the request by your supervisor. An approved request will be automatically marked in your work schedule.

Remember: In Proplanum, some requests do not affect the number of your vacation days and therefore do not display limits next to them, e.g., sick leave. This means they are unlimited.

Submitting a leave request via the mobile app

In the calendar, mark the date range of your leave.
If you select a one-day period in the calendar, the option "All day" will appear. By selecting this option, you will submit a request for a full day absence.
"Skip weekends" - weekends will not be considered in the request period
"Skip holidays" - holidays will not be included in the requested period

Select the recipient of the request - specify who should receive your leave request. By default, your main supervisor will be selected.
