What do the “Skip weekends” and “Skip holidays” options do?
When you submit a request covering several days, you usually do not want weekends and holidays — which are days off anyway — to eat into the leave limit. Two switches in the request form decide this: Skip weekends and Skip holidays. Below we explain what they do and when to change them.
Where to find these options
Open Add request, choose the employee and then the date range. In the Settings section under the calendar you will find both switches.

Skip weekends
When the switch is on, Saturdays and Sundays in the chosen range are not counted towards the leave — they are skipped and do not use up the limit. This is convenient for longer leave spanning several weeks.
Skip holidays
When the switch is on, statutory days off (holidays) in the chosen range are likewise not counted towards the leave.
When these options apply
The options concern requests for a date range (several days). For a one-day or an hourly request there are no weekends or holidays to skip — see [Part-day (hourly) leave](Part-day (hourly) leave).
