The KIOSK admin panel
Everything an ordinary employee should not be able to do while clocking in lives in the admin panel: connecting readers, assigning cards and fingerprints, and deactivating the device. The panel is protected so nobody accidentally reconfigures a terminal standing by the entrance.
Opening the panel
- Tap the padlock icon in the top right of the KIOSK home screen.
- Enter the location manager's PIN.

The panel shows the device location, the state of the connected readers, the entry point for employee credentials, the language, and the app version together with the device name.
Readers
The "Accessories" section lists the fingerprint reader and the card reader with their connection state. "Disconnect" releases a device, for example before moving it to another terminal.
You connect a new reader from the home screen or from the same panel.

Employee credentials
"Assign a card or fingerprint" leads to credential management — useful when someone loses a card or joins the team. The operation needs a separate authorisation.

You authorise with the location manager's PIN or their QR code. The session is time-limited — once it expires, KIOSK returns to the idle screen.
After authorising, you pick an employee from the list.

The next steps are covered in Assigning contactless cards and Enrolling a fingerprint.
Deactivating the device
"Deactivate device" sits at the bottom of the panel. Use it when a tablet changes location or goes out of service — after deactivation the device stops accepting clock-ins and has to be activated again, as described in Setting up and activating KIOSK.
