How do export codes differ from integrations?

Export codes and integrations serve the same purpose — passing working time data on for HR and payroll settlements — but they work in two different ways. This article helps you pick the right tool for your process.

In short

Export codes — your own Excel report types. You define the code and the type yourself (leave, supplement, working hours) for your own settlements, and then download the records in the RCP System.
Integrations — ready, predefined export formats matched to a particular HR and payroll program (Comarch Optima, R2 Płatnik, Enova and others). You turn them on with a single toggle, with no codes to configure.

Remember: the two mechanisms can work side by side. You use export codes for your own Excel summaries, and integrations when you want to pass data on directly in the format your HR and payroll program requires.

When to use export codes

Choose Export codes when:

You settle in your own Excel sheet or in a program that has no ready integration.
You want to decide yourself which entries (code, name, contract type, code type) go into the report.
You need full or summary records by code, with a choice of location, date range and contract type.

When to use integrations

Choose Integrations when you use one of the supported HR and payroll programs and want a file in its format without setting codes by hand. Turning an integration on comes down to flipping the program's card in Company settings → Integrations.

Important: integrations are configured by the Organisation Administrator. Once one is on, the card shows who turned it on and when.
