Creating tasks from your phone

Tasks are not always born at a desk. A delivery arrived damaged, a shelf has to be recounted, somebody needs to produce a report — the app lets you write it up straight away, with assigned people and a deadline, instead of putting it off until you are back in the office.

The location's task list

The Tasks tab shows the team's progress, filters, and tasks grouped by day with the people assigned to them.

A separate section collects overdue tasks together with quick actions: assign and remind.

A new task — step 1

The plus button opens the wizard. In the first step you set the kind (task or information), the starting status, the location and the people assigned.

Important: The "Information" kind is a message with no completion status and no subtasks — use it for announcements that nobody has to tick off.

Step 2 — the deadline

A one-off task gets a date and a from–to time. A recurring task gets a frequency, a unit, a time and the days of the week.

Step 3 — content and subtasks

In the last step you give the name, the description and any subtasks. The "separately for each person" switch decides whether one shared task is created or a separate copy for each assigned person.

Caution: For recurring tasks the kind and the recurrence type are read-only afterwards. If you have to change them, create the task again.

Tracking completion

Task details show the progress, the subtasks and the status of each of them.

Remember: The rules for task kinds and statuses are described in the Task Management category.
