Seats are the number of licences in your plan — that is, how many employees you can handle in the system. When the team grows or shrinks, you adjust the seat limit: you buy extra seats or schedule a reduction for the next period. Only the Organisation Administrator changes the number of seats.

Buying extra seats (an increase)

Buying extra seats raises the limit straight away — the new seats are available as soon as they are paid for, and the difference is charged pro rata to the end of the current period.

1. In the left-hand menu pick "Billing" (at the bottom) to open the "Your subscription" page.
2. On the "Your plan" card click "+ Buy extra seats". The card also shows the breakdown of seats: "Taken", "Free" and "Purchased".

3. In the "Buy extra seats" window set the number in the "How many seats to add?" field — use the −/+ stepper or the quick +1, +5, +10 buttons. Below you will see the "New limit" and the "Top-up for the current period".
4. Click "Buy and pay". If you have no card added, choose "Go to the summary" and pay as a one-off. The new seats are available as soon as they are paid for.

Reducing the limit

If the team has shrunk, you can schedule a reduction of the seat limit. The reduction takes effect from the next period — the current period is unaffected.

1. On the "Your plan" card click the "Reduce the seat limit" link.
2. Set the "New seat limit" with the stepper. You will see when the change takes effect and the new price from the next period.
3. Click "Schedule the reduction".
