Breaks at work

In Proplanum, both the manager, location manager, and administrator can set paid or unpaid breaks during specific working hours or at any time chosen by the employee.

Types of breaks

Scheduled break - the supervisor has scheduled a break in the timetable at a specific time.
Unscheduled break - a break without a specified time for its use.

Remember: Breaks assigned to your shift can be seen in the schedule in the shift details. If you don't know where to find this information, use our guide "Check the schedule".

How to take a break in the mobile app?

Log in to the Proplanum mobile app: Your working time will be displayed on the main dashboard.
Click the "Stop time" button.
A new window will appear asking "What do you want to do?" Select "Paid break"

A message will appear about its start, and the clock will start counting down the break time. Now you have time to rest.
After the break is over, return to the app and click the "Stop break" button.

A message will appear indicating the break has ended, and the clock will start counting your shift time again.

Remember: If your supervisor specifies recording unpaid breaks, after clicking the "Stop time" button, a new message will appear, and you will be able to choose what type of break you want to start - paid or unpaid.

Note: If you do not stop the time after the break is over, it will continue to be counted as an exceeded break time and will be visible in red. In such a situation, inform your supervisor so they can make the correction.

How to take a break using the PIN dock in the KIOSK or using NFC or RFID cards?

If it is time for a break, approach the KIOSK reader.
Place your NFC/RFID card on the reader or enter your PIN code.
Click the "Start break" button.
After the break is over, re-enter your PIN code and click the "End break" button or use the NFC or RFID card.

Thanks to these simple steps, managing breaks in Proplanum is easy and intuitive.
