General location settings
The "General" tab collects the settings that decide what employees at a given location can report (availability, requests), how the system settles their requests, and who gets work time alerts and when. You adjust these settings separately for each location as an Organisation Administrator, an Advisor or a Location Manager.
Opening the general settings
- Go to the "Locations" tab in the top bar.
- On the chosen location click the pencil icon ("Edit location") in the row or the ⋮ menu.
- From the menu on the left choose the "General" tab.

Availability
The section controls whether and who can report their availability, and how far in advance.
- "What employees can submit" — a multi-choice list with the Availability and Unavailability options. Choose which of them employees can report.
- "Access to the availability feature" — points to the group of employees with access to the feature. The options are: For all employees, Only for employees on a mandate or B2B contract, Only for employees on an employment contract.
- "Minimum declaration time" — tick this to require employees to report unavailability a minimum time in advance. Once ticked, fill in the "Number of days" field (the days of notice).

Requests
Here you set the rules for handling requests at a given location.
- "Deduct the limit in hours according to the schedule" — once a request is approved, the system adds up the lengths of the shifts the request overlaps and reduces the limit by that many hours. When there is no shift planned on a given day, it deducts 8 h multiplied by the full-time equivalent by default. Useful with an averaged working time system.
- "Business trips can be reported" — lets employees submit business trip requests. Only those who have the Business trip request type assigned will be able to.
- "Manager can manage requests" — lets a Manager approve, reject and submit leave requests on behalf of their employees.
Work time alerts
The section decides who receives notifications about events during a shift and after how long the system sends them.
- "Notification recipient" — who gets the alerts. The options are: Schedule author (the default) or All managers.
- "Employee lateness" — tick to turn the alert on and choose the time threshold from the planned shift start. 15 minutes by default.
- "Early finish of work" — an alert when an employee ends work earlier than planned. Never by default.
- "Employee absence from a shift" — an alert when an employee does not turn up for a planned shift. 60 minutes by default.

Saving changes
Once you have made your changes click "Save" to keep the settings. The "Undo changes" button restores the values from before the edit, if the save has not been performed yet.
