Setting work hours tolerance

In Proplanum you can precisely configure the working hours settings for your employees at a selected location. This article will guide you step by step through the configuration process, including setting working hours tolerance. These settings are available for Organization Administrator, Advisor and Location Manager.

Remember: You can configure these settings separately for each location. This means that in each location of your company, you can set different tolerances according to your needs.

Configuring working hours tolerance settings at a location

Log in through the web browser to Proplanum and go to the “Locations” tab.
Select the location you want to edit and click the three-dot options button on the right side of the row. From the dropdown list, select “Edit”

Go to the “Working Hours” tab from the list on the left side.

Remember: For the RCP tolerance settings to work, the entire RCP module must be activated in the given location. Use the slider next to the RCP option to enable it.

Find the settings related to time registration (RCP), including tolerance settings.

Rounding start times - automatically round start times to the nearest full time unit (e.g., 5, 10, 15 minutes). Set the tolerance with which the registered work time will be rounded.

Example: If you set the rounding of start times to 10 minutes, and an employee has a scheduled shift at 8:00 AM and starts at 8:04, the system will register the time from 8:00. However, if the employee starts the shift at 8:07, the system will register the time from 8:10.

Late Tolerance - set the tolerance for employee lateness by specifying the maximum lateness time.

Example: If you set the lateness rounding time to 10 minutes, and an employee has a scheduled shift at 8:00 AM and starts it at 8:04, the system will record the time from 8:00. However, if the employee starts the shift at 8:07, which is 7 minutes late, the system will record the time from 8:10.

End Time Rounding - automatically round the end times of work to the nearest full time unit (e.g., 5, 10, 15 minutes). Set the tolerance with which the recorded work time will be rounded.

Example: If you set the end time rounding to 10 minutes, and an employee has a scheduled end of shift at 3:00 PM and ends it at 3:04, the system will record the time until 3:00. However, if the employee ends the shift at 3:07, the system will record the time at 3:00.
If you set the end time rounding to 10 minutes, and an employee has a scheduled end of shift at 3:00 PM and ends it at 2:56, the system will record the time until 3:00.
