RCP system and GPS location

If you want to ensure that employees are clocking in at the company and not elsewhere, enable GPS location verification when clocking in. This will allow you to track whether employees are on-site when starting and ending their shifts.

Important: These settings can only be configured using a web browser. Permissions to do this are granted to users with the role of Organization Administrator, Location Manager, or Advisor.


How to enable the GPS feature in Proplanum?



Log in to the web version of Proplanum.
Select the "Locations" tab from the toolbar.
Click the three dots next to the chosen location and select "Edit."



Go to the "Working Hours" tab from the list on the left side.


Find the option "Location verification when clocking in"

Remember: When creating your company's location, the system automatically configures default settings. The GPS location verification option will be enabled by default.

Enabling this option means that the system will require employees to confirm their GPS location when clocking in using the mobile app.

Tip: If you want to ensure that your employees start and end work at the company premises and not elsewhere, enable this option.

Use the "GPS Accuracy Rounding" setting to precisely determine the distance in meters within which the location should be read for employees to use the T&A system. The default value in the system is set to a distance of 100m.




Where can you find information about employee locations when recording work time?



All information regarding recorded work time, including employee locations, can be found in the detailed list under the "T&A System" tab, in the "Records" section. In the "Location" column, there will be appropriate statuses:

Confirmed - location matches the company's location.
None - no specified location.
Other - location different from the company's location.

Remember: Even with the GPS confirmation setting enabled while using RCP, the employee will be able to start the shift, even if the location is not enabled. In such a situation, you will see the status "Other".

The "Location verification upon registration" feature can be enabled for each location separately. It ensures full control over precise time tracking, making sure that employees are in the right place and time.
