Managing positions and tags in locations

This article is intended for Organization Administrators, Advisors, and Location Managers in Proplanum. Introducing a company location in Proplanum enables efficient management of work within the organization, tailoring it to specific needs. In this article, you will learn how to manage positions and tags in locations.

When creating a location, you might have already added positions and tags. Detailed information on this topic is described in the article "Creating and Managing Locations".. If you want to make changes or add new positions and tags to a location you have already created, refer to the guidelines below.

How to manage positions and tags?

Log in to the web version of Proplanum and go to the “Locations” tab from the toolbar.
Select the location you want to edit by clicking the three-dot icon on the right side and choose “Edit”.

From the menu on the left, select "Positions and tags".

Browse existing positions and tags assigned to the location.

Billable - this column refers to including the position in payroll calculations. If you click and set "Yes" changes assigned to this position will be counted for settlements in the given location. This means that employees will receive payment for working in this position at the specified location.

Default - in this column, you will see which positions are default.
With the status "Yes" they were created in "Company Settings" (read about it here) and marked as default when creating the location (information can be found here).. With the status "No" they were added directly when creating the given location.

Use the "Visibility" slider for each position to determine which positions should be visible in a given location. If you enable this option, the position will be available for assignment to employees in that location. It will also be visible and ready for use in scheduled rosters.

Adding new positions - click "Add position" and in the new window, enter its name and choose a color from the palette. Check the "Counts towards working time" option if the working time in this position should be included in payroll calculations. Click "Add" to create a new position.

Adding new tags - you can add new tags. Click the "Add tag" button, enter its name, and save the changes.

Remember: In a specific location, you can add positions and tags. However, to remove them, you need to go to "Company Settings". You can do this only as an Organization Administrator. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

After making all the changes, don't forget to click the "Save" button in the upper right corner. Managing positions and tags allows you to keep order and control over data in the system and specific locations. You decide which positions you want to assign to specific locations.
