Arrangements about shifts, requests for cover and questions like "who is opening today" usually end up in private messaging apps — and nobody can reconstruct them later. Chat in Proplanum moves that communication to where the schedule already is: into the app, in the context of a location and a team.

Who has access

Chat is available in the mobile app to every role, regardless of permission level. You will find it as the Chat tab on the bottom bar.

The list shows all your conversations — one-to-one and group — with the last message and an unread counter.

One-to-one conversations

You start a new conversation with the plus button and pick the other person from the list of co-workers or through search.

Inside a thread you can reply to a specific message — a long press brings up a menu of actions.

The reply goes into the conversation with a quote, so it is clear what it refers to.

Group chats

Location Managers and Managers create group chats — for announcements or for a specific team.

Tapping the group name in a thread opens the member list. The group administrator adds and removes people and changes the name.

Keeping conversations in order

With more threads you can narrow the list down with the filter in the app bar.

A long press on a conversation opens its actions — mute, pin, rename the group and leave the conversation.
