# What is the difference between a Manager and a Location Manager?

Both roles manage a team's work, but they differ in scope. A Location Manager has broader permissions — they are responsible for an entire assigned location and its team. A Manager runs the day-to-day work of the team or shift assigned to them.

# Manager

A Manager is the leader of a single team or shift. They focus on organising work as it happens.

- Plans and publishes their team's schedule
- Runs time tracking and tasks
- Sees the team list read-only
- Does not review leave requests by default — submits only their own
- Does not manage the employee list or the location settings

# Location Manager

A Location Manager is responsible for an entire assigned location — both for the team and for its configuration.

- Runs the whole assigned location and its team
- Adds and edits employees at their locations and changes their roles (up to Location Manager level)
- Reviews leave requests
- Configures the location settings

|| Remember: A Manager can approve and reject employees' requests only when the "Allow manager to manage requests" option is turned on in the location settings. When it is off (the default), requests are reviewed by the Location Manager.
