# Editing and cancelling a request

Plans change sometimes and a submitted request has to be withdrawn. In Proplanum you do not edit a submitted request — instead you withdraw it and, if necessary, submit a new one with the right details. Below we show how to do it.

# Can a submitted request be edited?

No. Once a request has been submitted you cannot change its dates or its type. If something needs correcting, **withdraw the request** and submit it again with the right details — see [Submitting a leave request](https://help.proplanum.com/en/article/submitting-a-leave-request-r7rhzv/).

# Withdrawing a request

1. Go to the **Requests** tab and find the request in the list.
2. In its row click the **withdraw** icon (the arrow).

3. Confirm by clicking **"Yes"** in the **"Withdraw request"** window.

| Important: Once withdrawn, the request disappears from the list and the reserved days go back into the employee's limit.

|| Remember: As a supervisor, instead of withdrawing you can reject a pending request — see [Who can approve requests?](https://help.proplanum.com/en/article/who-can-approve-requests-bz2dw2/).
