# Deleting your account in the mobile app

This page concerns the **Proplanum** mobile app (publisher: **ProPlanum Sp. z o.o.**), available in Google Play and the App Store. Your Proplanum account is created by your employer, but you can delete it yourself — directly in the app, without reporting it to an administrator. Below you will find the step-by-step path, a list of the data that is deleted and kept, and the retention periods.

# Deleting your account step by step

1. Open the **side menu** in the mobile app.
2. Choose **"My profile"**.
3. Scroll the screen all the way down, to the **"Account"** section.
4. Tap the red **"Delete account"** item.
5. Read the list of consequences that appears at the bottom of the screen.
6. **Press and hold** the **"Hold to delete account"** button until the red fill runs all the way across it.

The button responds to a press and hold, not to a single tap — a deliberate safeguard against deleting your account by accident. Letting go early cancels the operation, and the **"Cancel"** button closes the window without any changes.

||| Caution: This operation cannot be undone from within the app. Right after confirming you will be signed out and will not be able to sign in again.

# Which data is deleted

Once confirmed, the account is **deactivated** and the following disappear from your phone:

* the session token and the sign-in data stored on the device
* data downloaded for offline work — schedule, requests and tasks
* the link between the device and the account, so you stop receiving notifications

You are signed out of **every device** you were signed in on, and signing in and session renewal stop working immediately.

# Which data is kept, and for how long

Deleting your account switches off your access, but **does not erase the data from your employer's system**. The following are kept:

* employee account details — first and last name, email address, role and location assignment — marked as inactive
* work time records and the history of clock-ins and clock-outs
* schedules, submitted requests and recorded absences
* messages sent in the team chat

The retention period is set by **your employer as the controller of that data**. For employee documentation, including work time records, Polish labour law generally provides for **10 years counting from the end of the calendar year in which the employment ended**. Proplanum stores this data solely on the employer's behalf and cannot delete it at an employee's request.

| Important: For data collected by your employer — access to it, correction or deletion — contact them directly. It is the employer who decides on the scope and the retention period.

# Restoring an account

A deleted account can only be restored by the **Organisation Administrator** at your company. If you deleted your account by mistake, or you are coming back to work after a break, contact the person who manages Proplanum at your employer — usually HR or your supervisor.

# The Organisation Administrator's account

If you hold the **Organisation Administrator** role, you cannot delete your own account from the mobile app. After confirming you will see the message:

> You cannot deactivate or archive your own administrator account. Another administrator has to do it.

This is a safeguard against a situation in which the organisation is left with no administrator at all and nobody can manage it. An administrator account is deactivated by another administrator from the panel in a browser.

# When you no longer have access to the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, and you still want to delete your account, report it to the **Proplanum administrator at your employer**. Have the email address assigned to the account ready — the administrator will find your profile by it. If you do not know who holds that role, ask in HR.

|| Remember: If the only problem is a forgotten password, you do not have to delete the account — you can set a new one yourself, see [What to do if you forget your account password?](https://help.proplanum.com/en/article/what-to-do-if-you-forget-your-account-password-ipx209/). The remaining features are described in the [Employee guide to the mobile app](https://help.proplanum.com/en/article/employee-guide-to-the-mobile-app-169ha7o/).
