# Day markings

Day markings are an editable dictionary of the codes Proplanum uses to describe individual days in the schedule and in HR/payroll exports. You set them once for the whole company and the system uses them everywhere — from the markers for time off in lieu in the schedule to the day codes pulled into R2 Płatnik. The tab is configured by the **Organisation Administrator**.

# Where to find the day markings

1. On the main dashboard, in the menu on the left, click **Company Settings** (the cog icon at the bottom).
2. In the settings panel on the left pick **Day markings** from the **EXPORT AND INTEGRATIONS** group. You can also type the name into **Search settings** at the top of the panel.

Every field has a default value and takes up to **6 characters**. The codes are split into two groups.

# Days off

The codes in this group describe **days off** and appear both in the schedule (on the time-off-in-lieu marker) and in every schedule export (PDF, Excel, R2 Płatnik). All four fields are **required** — they cannot be left empty.

* **"Time off for a Saturday"** — a day off in lieu of a Saturday worked. **WD5** by default.
* **"Time off for a Sunday"** — a day off in lieu of a Sunday worked. **WN** by default.
* **"Time off for a holiday"** — a day off in lieu of a public holiday worked. **WŚ** by default.
* **"Non-working holiday"** — a holiday with no work. **WS** by default.

# Working days (R2 Płatnik)

The codes in this group appear **only in the R2 Płatnik export** and set out how days are described in that file. They are **optional** — if you leave a field empty, that day gets no marking in the export.

* **"Working day"** — an ordinary day with a shift worked. **NP** by default.
* **"Sunday or holiday"** — a Sunday or public holiday with no work. **NS** by default.
* **"Work on a Sunday or holiday"** — a shift worked on a Sunday or public holiday. **PS** by default.

# Saving the changes

Once the codes have been edited, click **"Save"**. The **"Revert changes"** button restores the values from before the edit. The changed codes apply immediately in the schedule and in subsequent exports.
